The South African Post Office (SAPO) says it will no longer distribute R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grants from its branches starting in May 2022. This means beneficiaries have to change their payment method to now includes an option where beneficiaries can receive their grant to bank account,  any Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, or USave merchant

How To Change R350 grant payment method to bank

  1. Open to srd.sassa.gov.za
  2. Navigate to  ‘How do I change my banking details’
  3. Submit your ID Number
  4. An SMS containing a secure link, unique to you, will be sent to the mobile phone number with which you registered during application
  5. Click on the link in the SMS
  6. Follow the instructions carefully

It’s important to note that SASSA will not pay your grant money into another person’s banking account.This means you must provide your own personal bank account details.
