You can check the Status of your Taxi Relief Fund Application online, a financial support programme by the National Department of Transport (NDoT) in collaboration with the National Empowerment Fund (NEF). It is a once-off R5, 000 ex gratia relief fund to help mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the taxi industry.

To check on your status:
- Log onto the TRF Status check Portal.
- Enter your ID number or your Company Registration Number.
The application window will remain open until midnight on 31 March 2023. No new application will be accepted after this date.
All taxi operators who meet the prescribed conditions are eligible to apply for the Taxi Relief Fund. This includes minibus-taxis, metered taxis and e-hailing partners, but not the e-hailing companies.
