After you have applied for your NSFAS Mastercard, the card will be delivered and distributed at your campus. Upon receiving your card, you will be required to sign it and activate it so that it starts working.

To activate the NSFAS Mastercard, SMS “Activate” followed by a space then the last 4 digits of your card to 31571 and you will receive your PIN via SMS. Memorise your PIN, then delete the SMS.
Your card will be activated when you receive your first NSFAS allowance payment into the card.
