You can check if a company is registered on the with NHBRC on the NHBRC website at www.nhbrc.org.za. NHBRC toll-free number (0800 200 824) NHBRC provincial or satellite office nearest to you.



You can verify the registration status of your Home Builder by entering their Company Name or Registration Number on Builder verification Online Services.

According to the law, any person in the business of home building must be registered with the NHBRC and renew their membership annually. Any person who contravenes this, shall be guilty of an offence liable of conviction to a fine or imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year.
